What makes the process of planning and designing your project so different at DesireKBD?
The combination of our award winning staff and beautiful showroom lets you fully understand the best choices for you and your home.
The first step in the planning process is a survey that helps us understand your goals, overall design choices, living style, and budget. This is quickly followed by an in-home consultation where your DesireKBD consultant gets know you, your personal design style, and the renovation project first hand. Initial measurements are also taken so that we may begin our first draft of the design. During the planning stage we work with you every step of the way to help set the stage for an amazing initial design!
After the initial in-home consult, we invite you to our showroom for a proposed design for your project. Virtually we walk through the space in 3D software allowing you to experience the finished project. We will discuss the different aspects of the project and explain the preliminary budget proposal, chat about the pros and cons and any changes in the design or products. While you’re at the showroom, you can also take a look at our cabinets, finishes, hardware, and everything else to get even more inspired. After the major scope of the project is agreed upon, our design retainer is applied and we can move onto the next stage of design development!
As the design development continues we come back to your home to conduct a full survey of the project to obtain all correct, necessary, and final measurements. We review the existing structural and mechanical conditions and discuss any concerns or aspects of changes proposed by the new design. After this meeting, we invite you back to our showroom to finalize a detailed contract based on all final design changes, product selections, and plans.
Throughout the whole process, our DesireKBD team members work along with you even after the planning and design process is finished. During the next steps of a production meeting, pre-construction meeting, weekly progress updates, and throughout all of construction until completion, our DesireKBD team works with YOU to create your dream space!
